Springtime is near! And if you're like me, you've waited until the last minute to do it. So here are a few tried and true tips that will cost you under fifty cents! (Since you have most of these things in your home.)
*Remember to SPRING FORWARD this weekend for daylight savings time*
1. UNCLOG THAT SHOWER HEAD!
Need: white vinegar, ziploc bag, rubber band. Beware, if you're only a five footer like me, watch your head.
Fill up any size ziploc bag with white vinegar. Submerge the shower head in the bag and secure it with a rubber band. Leave it for a few hours and then remove it. It'll be like new!
2. MAKE THOSE PEARLY WHITES SPARKLE ...I mean your bathroom sinks : )
Need: toothpaste, sponge
Squirt a dollop of toothpaste onto a soft sponge and you'll be surprised at how easily all of the soap scum, grime, etc. comes off.
3. TAKE THE FUNK OUT OF YOUR GARBAGE DISPOSAL!
Need: Lemon, baking soda
Squeeze the juice of a half of lemon down the drain on the side of the garbage disposal. Throw in the entire half of lemon, and handful of baking soda. Turn on the cold water so that it runs down the drain, and finally turn on the disposal and run it untill the lemon is entirely ground up!
